3-5 November Warsaw hosted the annual meeting of the INTERACT project (International Network for Terrestrial Research and Monitoring in the Arctic).

Last week, the North-Eastern Federal University carried out the local Model Arctic Council, where students discussed Arctic issues and developed a declaration to improve the life quality in the North.

Within five years, scientists of North-Eastern Federal University and universities of Japan and the US will carry out research in the Arctic and central regions of Yakutia. Their task is to show the importance of the Arctic system in global climate change.

The application period for master's degree programs at the University of Oulu, Finland starts on December 15, 2015. 18 programs are open for applications in the fields of business and economics, education, natural sciences, engineering and architecture, and health sciences.

Research Professor Timo Koivurova has been named as the new director of the Arctic Centre (University of Lapland) for the period 2016-2020.
