Special features of doing business in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation
This MOOC will help to form a modern idea of the resource provision of the Russian Arctic zone, the structure of industrial production, the specifics of the organization and activities of commercial structures. Learners will receive information about the features of the socio-economic development of individual Russian Arctic territories, their investment potential, and will learn to assess the risks of Arctic projects. They will also get acquainted with the used mechanisms of mining, the economic potential of the aquatic ecosystems of the Arctic, the main directions and tools of environmental policy in the Russian Arctic. Particular attention is paid to the security of the region. As a result of studying the course, learners will gain skills in assessing the prospects for implementing business projects in the Arctic zone of Russia.
