UArctic member, The Arctic Research Consortium of the United States, is a not-for-profit organization that aims to engage Arctic peoples and organizations in research. In collaborating with researchers, educators, Indigenous and traditional knowledge holders, Arctic residents, and other stakeholders, ARCUS helps improve understanding of how Arctic regions are changing.
ARCUS values shared knowledge, transparency, multi-knowledge and cross-disciplinary collaboration, informed decision-making, engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The organization’s objectives include facilitating and supporting Arctic research, enhancing research communications, engaging students in education and research, and securing further resources to support their mission.
Membership at ARCUS is open to all organizations and individuals who are involved or interested in U.S. Arctic research.
