The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) and the Arctic Center of the University of Lapland will organize a national snow seminar on November 1, 2023 at the Finnish Meteorological Institute in Kumpula, Helsinki.


On 23rd May 2023, the UArctic Læra Institute for Circumpolar Education was pleased to be able to hold the second faculty workshop during the UArctic Assembly meeting ay Laval University in Québéc.

A group of 25 international staff and students from several universities undertook a 2 week field excursion from the south to north of Alaska, from Homer to Galbraith Lake.

Museum leader Dr. Jelena Porsanger and the Sámiid Vuorká-Dávvirat (the Sámi Museum in Karasjok as a part of the broader RiddoDuottarMuseat association) alongside Matthew Magnani, University of Maine, created a virtual exhibition on the return of Indigenous cultural heritage in Sápmi.
