Thematic Network on Critical Arctic Studies held a roundtable "Exploring critical approaches in Arctic studies"

First time ever, the UArctic Thematic Network on Critical Arctic Studies organized a roundtable and research clinic online on June 20, 2023 as an experiment in engaging with early career researchers.

The event was a success. There were good discussions among the participants and constructive suggestions for the development of the research clinic. The next roundtable and research clinic is planned for spring 2024.

In the first part, “The CAS roundtable”, Associate Professor Frank Sejersen, University of Copenhagen, gave a short introduction to the theme followed by questions and discussion. 

The aim of the second part, “The CAS clinic”, was to share thoughts, experiences and questions about doing critical Arctic studies in different disciplines.

The discussion was chaired by Research professor, Lead of the CAS Thematic Network, Monica Tennberg and University researcher Marjo Lindroth, University of Lapland.
