The Arctic is of key strategic importance for the EU in view of climate change and environmental degradation, the potential for critical raw materials as well as geostrategic influence. Some of the main challenges in the Arctic are linked to the multiple adverse effects of climate change and environmental degradation, as well as to demographic, sustainable and inclusive development, especially in terms of involvement of young people, women, and Indigenous Peoples in Arctic decision-making.
Young people are considered change-makers and essential partners for the EU. That is why we want to empower the Arctic youth. We want to hear their voices on sustainable development, biodiversity, climate change and encourage them to be part of the policy-making process.
Are you a youth organization interested in facilitating the Arctic Youth Dialogues? Then check out the recently published call for proposals and apply by 20 June 2023 at 12:00 (CET) the latest.
