The Arctic Design Awards have been announced on Thursday, March 23. At the Awards Nights event held at Korund in Rovaniemi. The international BRP Design Competition awards were also handed out at the event.
As the design-intensive company of 2023, the jury chose a family business founded in Rovaniemi in 1970 that designs and manufactures playground and exercise equipment, theme parks, and park and street furniture. The jury also thanked Lappset Group for the fact that its product design and planning is mainly done in Rovaniemi. The value of wood material has been consistently understood as a friendly, even acoustically suitable material suitable for children's play environments. The wooden products are made in Rovaniemi, from Finnish wood grown in accordance with sustainable development. In addition, the jury draws attention to the fact that the company strives to promote environmental sustainability as well as social sustainability.
