The Killam Fellowship Program is a Fulbright Canada award that gives undergraduate students from universities in the United States the opportunity to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in Canada. University of Washington students may participate in the program as a direct exchange student (registering at their home university, paying their home fees, and attending the host university as an exchange visitor) at one of the participating Canadian universities.
Participating students receive an award of $6,000 US per semester, health insurance, and a travel grant of up to $800CAD (on a competitive basis). Additional benefits include two enrichment seminars held in Ottawa, ON (fall) and Washington, DC (spring). As Fulbright Canada alumni, student will also be able to take advantage of networking, internships, and other award opportunities offered by Fulbright.
