You are invited to attend the Greenland Science Week conference in Nuuk, December 1-5, 2019.
The first Greenland Science Week (GSW), which is arranged by Ilisimatusarfik, AAU Arctic, Greenland Perspective and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, serves as a platform for a meeting between international and Greenlandic researchers. The main purpose of GSW 2019 is to kick-start a dialogue among institutions, business and research and to facilitate knowledge cooperation with local communities in Greenland. The secondary purpose of GSW is to consolidate Greenlandic academia around an Arctic science agenda, and GSW 2019 is the first cross-disciplinary initiative that is committed to Arctic research as well as Greenlandic issues.
Alongside a one-day academic conference (Polar Research Day), several additional science events are planned and organized. All that, a Public Outreach Day, workshops around Nuuk, seminars, receptions and networking activities make up the Greenland Science Week.
The Poster session and oral presentations will be held during the public dissemination event “Research for You”-day December 5, 2019, which will be open to the public as well as other conference participants. The “Research for You”-day is an integral part of Greenland Science Week and an expansion of the “Polar Research Day” conference on December 4, focusing on public outreach.
Posters and oral presentations will offer opportunities to convey your research to the broad public
