This educational event was organized by Scientific Research Institute of National Schools of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Scientific Expert Centre for Indigenous Peoples of the North together with the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East of the Russian Federation and Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

Young researchers, educators and teachers from Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Tatarstan Republic, Karelia, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Primorsky Territories, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia took part in the seminar.

During two days of intensive work relevant aspects of cultural studies, native languages, digital media, copyright and publishing were introduced and discussed by the seminar participants.  The invited experts shared their experience in design and development of educational programs.

One of the seminar follow-ups will be creation of a "data bank" for young scientists, teachers and educators who wish to develop textbooks in native languages, literature and culture of the indigenous peoples of the North. Collection of seminar articles and teaching guidelines are planned for publishing as well.
