Karol shares his experience with us. "I am Project Lawyer at the University of Lapland, conducting all legal issues within the institution. Specializing in contracting and legal project management, I decided to visit our UArctic Partner in framework of the north2north. The main aim of the visit has been my personal and institutional development and networking. During the visit, I have been familiarized with the main strategy and goals of the Aarhus University, both nationally and internationally. I have been actively taken part in the meetings with various representatives of the Aarhus University, especially Corporate Relations and Transfer Knowledge Department (including Legal Team) and Research Support Services. By that I could have get acquainted with their work, tasks and best practices used for sustainable development of the University. My visitation has also included discussion on current legal and financial issues, which appear within the University and its international project management.

The exchange has provided me the opportunity to measure and benchmark against international best practices and to promote and embed improvement on return. It has facilitated reciprocal visits/exchanges and I have acted as ambassador for the University in promoting sustainable relationships with Aarhus University. Also, the exchange has advanced an aspect of the ULapland’s internationalization strategy and its goals, especially by strengthen Nordic Cooperation and institutional partnership with the Aarhus University.
The visit to Aarhus has helped me to establish good network with international contacts among lawyers and management staff members who are involved in international projects and its legal, financial and administrative management. By this, we’ve defined further forms of cooperation, especially as collaboration within EC Projects".
