The Interreg North Programme 2014-2020 supports cross border cooperation aiming to strengthen economic and social development in the northern areas of Finland, Sweden and Norway.
The overall aim of the programme is to reinforce the competitiveness and attractiveness of the programme area. The areas of North-Finland, North-Sweden, North-Norway and Sami areas are eligible to apply for funding. The application should involve participants from at least two of the programme area countries.
The open call includes four themes:
1) Research and Innovation
2) Entrepreneurship
3) Culture and Environment
4) Common Labour Market
EU funding can cover max. 65% of the total project budget, in Norway 50%. Projects can run up to 36 months.
The programme invites also applications for preparatory projects, running no more than 6 months, related to themes 3 and 4. The maximum amount of funding for preparatory projects is 10 000 EUR. There is no deadline for preparatory project applications.
