Starting in spring 2016 the Arctic Technology Centre of the Technical University of Denmark offers the Arctic Semester in Extreme Engineering, an opportunity for master-level engineering students to experience the unique environment and the challenges of engineering north of the Arctic Circle. The History Department of the University of Oulu will organize interdisciplinary symposium “The Barents and the Baltic Sea region: contacts, influences and social change” in Oulu in December 2015.  The aim of the symposium is to analyse the characteristics of the Barents and Baltic Sea region from interdisciplinary perspectives.

The 16th International Congress on Circumpolar Health – Focus on Future health and well-being will be held June 8-12, 2015 in Oulu, Finland. It will gather 350 participants mainly from the Nordic and other European countries, Russia, Canada and USA.

The 1st Central European Polar Meeting will be held 10-13 November 2015 in Vienna, bringing together polar researchers including distinguished scientists and the next generation of polar researchers from Central European countries and around the globe.

The EU's Interreg North 2014-2020 Programme is now open for applications from northern parts of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Sami areas. The call is open until 30th of August 2015.

The joint IMO/WMU/PAME international conference on Safe and Sustainable Shipping in a Changing Arctic Environment (ShipArc 2015) will be held 25-27 August 2015 in Malmö, Sweden. The conference registration is still ongoing, and the deadline for abstracts submission has been extended to 30 June 2015.

The “In the Spirit of the Rovaniemi Process – Local and Global Arctic” will take place in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland, on 24-26 November 2015. The second international conference is organized by the City of Rovaniemi, the University of Lapland and its Arctic Centre and the Arctic Society of Finland.

The submission of artworks and/or abstracts for the art exhibition and symposium RELATE NORTH 2015 is open until June 15, 2015. The symposium and exhibition is a collaboration between the University of the Arctic, ASAD Thematic Network, the University of Alaska Anchorage, the University of Lapland and the Kimura Gallery.
