This is an unique opportunity, especially for many early-career scientists, to enter into a dialogue and discussion with the guests about the objectives and results of Past4Future and the implications of abrupt climate changes on a regional European scale and globally.

The session will be initiated by Jérôme Chappellaz (Directeur de Recherche au Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, CNRS) presenting a brief outline of the objectives of Past4Future and some of the science challenges in the field of palaeo-climate now and in the future. The invited guests are then to each give a 5 minutes address focusing on a Past4Future-pertinent topic of their own choice. Following the addresses, it is time for questions and dialogue.
