The group meeting will focus on enhancing students' mobility through harmonisation of master's theses' requirements, problems and chances in students' cooperation with the industries' and the integration of stakeholders into innovative learning and teaching in aquaculture and related subjects.

On the way to these meetings, Peter Weiss, together with Hreiðar Þór Valtýsson, director of the Fisheries Science Centre of the University of Akureyri, met with representatives for UArctic and Bergen Marine Research Cluster in Reykjavík. Several UArctic representatives dwell these days in Iceland for the Northern Research Forum's Conference on Our Ice Dependent World, amongst them Lars Kullerud president and Outi Snellman general secretary. Also Øystein Paasche, Bergen Marine Research Cluster is in Iceland for the NRF-conference. Bergen is interested in actively participating in the still young UArctic Thematic Network on Coastal and Marine Issues, led by UWestfjords and UAkureyri.
