UWestfjords and UAkureyri, with their focus on fisheries and coastal and marine management, are hosting the UArctic Thematic Network on Coastal and Marine Issues. The findings of the research team were published on August 21 in the online issue of the journal Nature Geoscience and has since then been reported widely in the media.

The Woods Hole research ship Knorr, departed from Reykjavík on Monday to continue its research of the current in cooperation with researchers from the Marine Research Institute. The expedition has a website where further information can be obtained and the process followed.
