Arctic Virtual Tools receives additional funding from Nordic Council Arctic Co-Operation Program

The UArctic project, Arctic Virtual Tools, has received continued funding from the Nordic Council of Ministers Arctic Co-Opeation Program, which is administered by Nordregio. The project is coordinated by the Thule Institute, University of Oulu and counts Arctic Portal (University of Akureyri), University of Lapland, and the University Centre of the West Fjords as partners. Among its activities, the Arctic Virtual Tools project is exploring new technologies to support online learning in the North, and developing new online learning resources based on the work of various Thematic Networks, Circumpolar Studies, and the UArctic Atlas. These products and services will support various UArctic education activities. The project is also working closely with APECS, the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists.
