The Klondike Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC), in partnership with the Tr’ondek Hwech’in First Nation and Yukon College, is offering an exciting new accredited visual arts program which provides students with the first year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Arts in Design degree.

KIAC School of Visual Arts

The KIAC School of Visual Arts (SOVA), located in the historical town of Dawson City, Yukon, is an accredited post-secondary institution specializing in the instruction, promotion, and advancement of contemporary visual arts practices from a multiplicity of cultural perspectives.

SOVA Foundation Year program provides students with the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge through an intensive period of examination, exploration and experimentation in both traditional and contemporary visual art practices and mediums (i.e. drawing, paint, sculpture, video, digital photography, and more).

The SOVA Foundation Year is an accredited full-time university level program equivalent to the first year of a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) Degree and is transferable to numerous BFA granting institutions across Canada and in Alaska.
