The Symposium provides a forum for interdisciplinary interaction and exchange of knowledge related to health and wellbeing in the Northern environment and societies. Participants representing clinical medicine, biomedicine, physiology, health sciences, linguistics, social sciences, geography, anthropology, and everyone studying different aspects of life in the North are welcome to the Symposium.
 
Organisers:  Graduate School of Circumpolar Wellbeing, Health and Adaptation, Centre for Arctic Medicine at the Thule Institute, University of Oulu, and the Finnish Society for Arctic Health and Biology. Language: The official language of the Symposium is English.

Pre-conference Course: Research training course “Qualitative and multivariate analysis of the data” for doctoral students will be organised 22-23 November 2006, preceding the Symposium. Detailed information about the course can be found from the Symposium website.
